About the Role

The Email Specialist is responsible for building, managing, and optimizing client email marketing programs—primarily within Klaviyo. Working closely with the Digital Strategist, UX Designer, Copywriter and Account Managers, this role turns strategic goals into effective, well-crafted campaigns that support engagement, retention, and conversion. The Email Specialist brings together design precision, technical know-how, and data insight to deliver email and lifecycle marketing that strengthens each client’s digital presence.

What You’ll Do

Plan, build, and deploy email campaigns and automated flows in Klaviyo across multiple client brands.

Manage segmentation, tagging, and data structure to support personalized and targeted communications.

Conduct QA testing for functionality, rendering, and deliverability before every send.

Track and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to internal teams.

Build/Manage automations and lead nuturing/re-engagement

Maintain and evolve email templates and flow libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across clients.

Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other deliverability best practices.

Stay current on Klaviyo updates, platform integrations, and emerging trends in
email and lifecycle marketing.

Preferred Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

2–4 years of experience in email marketing, ideally within a branding or marketing agency.

Advanced proficiency in Klaviyo—automation setup, campaign management, segmentation, and reporting.

Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email layout adjustments and troubleshooting.

Strong understanding of data hygiene, deliverability, and audience management.

Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on testing and quality assurance.

Comfortable collaborating across creative, digital, and client service teams.

Strong organizational and time management skills for handling multiple accounts and deadlines.

Bonus Points

Experience integrating Klaviyo with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify or WooCommerce.

Understanding of lifecycle automation strategies (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back, etc.).

Familiarity with SMS marketing and cross-channel automations.

Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable improvements.

Knowledge of other ESPs (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor) and CRMs.

Klaviyo certification or similar platform expertise.

Understanding of brand strategy and positioning frameworks.
